January 2009

"Vendor Testimonial Contest" - In addition to collecting votes for the Members Choice awards through the end of February, TA is sponsoring a vendor testimonial contest to see which vendors can get the most testimonial from their channel partners, telecom agent and VAR distributors.  All testimonial will be posted and the vendors with the most testimonials will receive a special Members Choice award. "Getting Started as a New Agent" Whether you're brand new to this business or you are simply adding network services distribution to an existing successful business, we'll share you what you need to plan for.

"Partnering with Consultants & Auditors" - Consultants & auditors are independent consultants that help their business clients reduce their telecom and data bills as well as design and implement new voice and data services. This seminar will share ways to successfully partner with them.

February

"Telecom Town Hall" - An online conversation with the TA vendor candidates nominated to win various categories in TA's annual "Members Choice" Awards. In addition to letting TA members know why they were nominated we'll give the nominated TA vendor members an opportunity to answer questions submitted by TA members.

"Vertical Market Selling" - Professional services (lawyers, accountants, etc.)

"Partnering with Network Integrators" - Network integrators are consultants and resellers that help end-user businesses connect all their in-house computers over a local area network (LAN) or connect their multiple locations via a wide area network (WAN). This seminar will share ways to successfully partner with them.

"Trade Show Preview" - Since trade show time is scarce we'll preview the seminars and vendor booths you'll not want to miss at next month's Spring Channel Partners trade show in Las Vegas.

March

"Trade Show Review" - TA reviews who said what at the Spring Channel Partners trade show in Las Vegas. We'll review what the expert speakers shared with attendees as well as what new products or services the TA vendors were rolling out.

"Vertical Market Selling" - Manufacturing

"Partnering with Interconnects" - Interconnects are the small businesses that sell, install and manage business phone systems for business end-users. This seminar will share ways to successfully partner with interconnects.

April

"Effective Marketing Strategies for Subagents" - Whether going after vertical or geographic markets we'll share case studies that showcase effective marketing strategies used by successful subagents. 

"Vertical Market Selling" - Call Centers

"Partnering with End-User VARs" - VARs (value added resellers) are small consulting businesses that sell some sort of equipment based solution to end-user businesses. Examples of VARs include those businesses that sell and maintain cash registers, bar code readers, video monitoring cameras, etc. This seminar will share ways to successfully partner with VARs.

"How to Choose a Vendor" - When choosing to work directly with a provider you need to know which questions are fair game. We'll share the top ten questions to ask prospective vendors and let you know how to interpret the answers.
