Started in 1995, this is TA's basic program. TA has 3,800 complimentary members. Anyone may become a complimentary TA member for free by clicking the "Join" link in the top left corner of TA's home page at TelecomAssociation.com or at TAjoin.com

The benefit a becoming a TA complimentary member is that you receive the email newsletters that TA sends out. The newsletters are from TA and TA vendors. The newsletters cover information about commission and retail price promotions, new telecom and technology product roll-outs and about everything a successful telecom distributor needs to know about the vendor solutions they can distribute to end-users.

Accredited Member Program  www.TAmember.com

TA's accredited member program is the next level up from complimentary membership and it's for experienced independent professionals who distribute telecom or technology solutions to business end-users in the role of agent, partner, broker, consultant, reseller or similar title.

TA's annual member accreditation is for the professional that wants to distinguish themselves competitively as the accreditation recognizes that the member is current in professional development, recommended by both clients and vendors and has no history of unresolved complaints from end-user business customers or vendor partners.

Accredited Vendor Program  www.TAvendor.com

TA's accredited vendor program is for telecom or technology companies that distribute products, services or solutions to business end-users through an independent or "alternate" sales channel and want to communicate with TA's 3,800 members via TA's email newsletters in an effort to have TA's members distribute the vendor's solutions.

TA's annual vendor accreditation recognizes that the vendor actively supports the independent sales channel, is recommended by both end-user customers and sales partners and has no history of unresolved complaints from end-user business customers or sales partners.

Professional Development  or
"Secret Sauce" Program

TA's professional development program is its most important program as it's all the competitive "how to do it better" info or "secret sauce" TA has to share that earns our members and vendors higher profits. 

TA actually got its start back in 1995 when TA's first 87 complimentary members joined TA in response to a classified ad we placed in an industry trade magazine that stated, "Join the association for telecom agents and get the training outlines that show you how to sell value over price." It was TA's effort to slow the erosion of long distance pricing when some agents started selling business long distance service at 10 cents per  minute when there were still plenty of business customers happy to pay 15 cents per minute.

Fast forward to 2010 and TA's still distributing content designed to help our members and vendors maximize profitability by selling value over price. TA's professional development content is delivered via online webinars, on-demand videos and PDF reports. All TA secret sauce is "value priced" in that it will earn you more than the cost to buy. Some content is sponsored by TA vendors such that it is available to TA members at no charge.

End User Buyers Guide & Directory Program  www.Telp.Biz

In 2010, TA launched www.Telp.Biz to provide two needed services to TA members. First, Telp.Biz creates a single "library" to contain all the "official knowledge" about how telecom and technology services are bought and sold. Second, it provides a platform for TA members to be found by business end-users looking for knowledgeable technology partners.

2010 marks the fifth year that TA members have voted on which vendors are doing the best jobs in over 20 technology solution categories. It's one thing for a vendor to say, "We're great" it's quite another to have TA's members say it with their annual votes.

 

Contract Telemarketing Program 

Started in 2010, TA contract telemarketing program is an effort by TA to connect TA members that like to telemarket with TA vendors that have developed "turn-key" telemarketing projects where they really just need someone to call a list and move prospects through a funnel.

 

Subject Matter Expert Program

TA runs into a lot of smart people and TA's SME program is where we let TA members know who these smart people are. TA turns to TA SMEs for help in everything from developing our professional development program content to helping sort through TA's Members Choice nominees and ballots.
