PCG's Braun
Mincher Scores Public Relations Coup with Local Business Press & Shares How He
Did It Just as Tony Cheng and Annie Cheng of NetStar showed what was possible earlier this year with their own NetStar PR coup, PCG's Braun Mincher now shows TA members he's no slouch either when it comes to getting the right message in front of the right eyeballs at just the right time (at the right price too - free!). Click here to view the write-up Mincher got this past week in the Northern Colorado Business Report, that details his return to telecom after a five-year hiatus.
"It's like anything else when it comes to business success, not only do you have to invest in the right business systems and equipment vendors, you have to invest in business friendships," Mincher said. "The folks that publish the Northern Colorado Business Report (NCBR) are interested in telling the story of all local Northern Colorado business owners. To get them interested in me I knew I had to show them that I was interested in their success as well. Towards that end, for several years, I have always gone out of my way to attend and patronize NCBR events and encouraged my peers to do the same. Of course it doesn't hurt to pay for a round of drinks now and then. "Because of my continual investments in 'business friendships', I'd become acquainted with the reporters at NCBR. After discussing my story with them I promised them an 'exclusive' on my story of re-entering the telecom business. Now I have a nice article to share with customer and prospects. "The secret to getting good PR? Be interesting, be nice & be interested in them", Mincher confided."
