TA / EPS Interview Q & A
-
Rich please
start us out by telling our audience what they
need to know about selling payment process
services to their existing customers. What
does a good processing prospect
look like and what’s the proper way for a TA
member to engage their customers in a
conversation about putting in a bit to get
them to switch their payment processing
systems to EPS?
Answer: Credit
card processing is a basic industry. Basically,
every business that accepts a credit card is a
candidate. We approach current business owners
asking them “if we could save you money with our
credit card processing – would you consider
switching over?” with that being said, we then
retrieve their most recent credit card
statements, send to a pricing analyst and within
24 hours we present the business owner with
their proposal of savings.
-
How much can a TA agent expect
to earn distributing payment processing
systems?
Answer: Part
time agents (working a 12-15 hour work week) can
expect to earn $4,000-$6,000 residual and full
time agents can expect to earn $10,000-$13,000
residual.
-
Why have you partnered with
Wells Fargo & First Data – what do they bring
to the party?
Answer: As
you will read in either the Wall Street Journal
or the New York Times, with the severe financial
crisis we are experiencing, banks are failing.
Wells Fargo is a very strong, solid financial
institution with the strongest balance sheets.
They pick their partners very carefully and
we’re honored to be doing business with them.
First Data is the largest credit card platform
in the world with the biggest safeguards. They
have a very long process
to be able to run on their platform, we
were accepted due to the 35 years combined
experience. We are proud to provide our
customers with the comfort of working with such
multi-national companies.
-
Now tell us about payroll
processing. What do our members need to know
about bidding on this business?
Answer: Our
payroll processing is another great residual
income opportunity for the TA agents. The EPS
payroll division is powered by ADP – one of the
industry leaders in payroll services. Their
experience and customer support insures our
clients will receive secure, accurate and
reliable payroll reporting.
-
And what’s the opportunity in
payroll processing – how much can a TA member
earn?
Answer: TA
agents can expect to generate between $5,000 and
$8,000 in additional residual income from our
payroll product. Other services they may offer
for bonus commissions include simple IRA plans,
electronic time and attendance, life insurance
and disability policies for business owners.
-
Sean, as you know, TA members
always want to know who’s vouching for whom
when it comes to recommendations and
referrals. Since many in our audience know
you and have done business with OPEX, they
trust your referral. Tell us why you like EPS
and why you’re vouching for their payment and
processing payroll processing systems.
Answer: I’ve
had a very strong relationship and very long
history with these guys which I feel is a big
plus. Rich had approached me and showed me EPS’
services – he saved me money and provided better
service. I, in return, referred 3-4 clients
whom have all had great feedback.
-
Anything else our audiences
need to know about EPS?

the merchant –
