Acquire new carrier class customers within our lines of business.
This is a hunter position.
Requirements:
- Understanding of voice and data network solutions
for customer applications.
- Interface with customers to determine technical
requirements and expectations thru solution selling.
- Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to order
processing.
- Focus is on driving new booked revenue within the
carrier space.
- Ability to manage an aggressive quota.
- Experience with contract negotiations.
- Participation in trade shows.
Experience/Education:
- Knowledge and understanding of carrier market and
competitive environment desired.
- Strong business acumen.
- Flexibility in ever-changing, fast-paced,
deadline-driven environment, high initiative, self-starter.
- High level organizational skills with a strong
ability to multi-task and maintain high quality standards.
- Highly effective communication skills to
interface with customers, technical support personnel, and other
telecom professionals; MUST be able to convey information in a
logical and professional manner in verbal and written forms.
- Keen knowledge and understanding of telecom
products and services; must understand both voice and data
networks.
- Experience in a process and continuous
improvement setting a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of telecommunications/data
sales experience.
- Knowledge of VOIP, Voice protocols, MPLS,
Ethernet, IP telephony, collocation is a plus.
- Proficiency in of MS Office (Word, Excel,
Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
