Over the
next several weeks you may see some email
notices in your inbox indicating that
Telecom Association ("TA") is switching
some of our email newsletter distribution
lists to
FeedBlitz.
It's OK. Go
along with it if you enjoy getting TA's
various email newsletters.
Why are we
doing this? To help you better control
the information you receive from TA.
If you've
visited TA's new "News
Blog" at
www.myTAnews.com you'll notice on the
navigation buttons on the top of the page
that TA has created 200 individual telecom
news categories under five major news
segments -
metro news,
service news,
vendor news,
vertical industry news and
other.
We've created these segments using Atom.xml
"feeds" so you can pick and choose just the
information you want to get if you're handy
with RSS readers.
If you're
not handy with RSS don't worry - you don't
need to be.
Long story
short,
FeedBlitz is the best vendor on the
planet when it comes to turning blog posts
using RSS and Atom feeds into automatic
email newsletters so we're going to be
giving
FeedBlitz a try over the next several
weeks and possibly rolling all of TA's email
newsletter lists to
FeedBlitz.
This is not
to say that we think less of
Bronto, out current email blast vendor.
We love
Bronto and they've been great for the
past 8 years we've used them since rolling
off our first e-blast vendor
Topica.
Bronto is moving more and more into
serving the e-blast needs of the nation-wide
retail chain establishments like Sears &
Chili's. TA needs an e-blast provider that
is more into segmented news distribution and
RSS feeds.
As a quick
review, when you join TA, TA adds you to a
email distribution list of all our various
newsletters. You can delete yourself from
any list you don't want by clicking the
"preferences" link at the bottom of any
email newsletter you get from TA.
What do you need to do?
1. Not much
really but please have patience. We may have
a hiccup or two along the way.
2. Check
your "preferences" and make sure your
"member record" reflects your proper contact
information and newsletter desires.
You can view your TA "member record" by
clicking on the preferences link on the
bottom of any email newsletter you receive
from TA. During our switchover you'll
actually have two member records, one in the
Bronto database & one in the FeedBlitz
database.
3. All
TA
newsletters will still come from:
TelecomAssociation.com@TelecomAssociation.com,
please make sure this email address stays on
your "safe list".
