"Subject Matter
Expert"
Program Launched to Learn from the Best (and help SMEs earn
business)
For over 15 years TA's executive director (and
active agent) Dan Baldwin has written most of the content published
by TA for the benefit of TA members and vendors. Beginning in
February, TA will be primarily publishing the stories of TA members
who are subject matter experts or "SMEs" in one category or another.

The SME content will all be viewable at TA's
end-user site www.Telp.Biz in the
form of buyers guides that business end-users and lead partners can
download to educate themselves about different sorts of telecom and
technology buying decisions.
Are you interested in being listed as one of TA's
subject matter experts? Visit

2010 TA Award
Process Improved
In an effort to maintain the highest integrity of
TA's fifth annual "Members Choice" awards, TA has elected to create
a "campaign period" to educate TA members about the different
categories and the nominees before the official voting period.
TA will publish all the categories and all the
nominees on March 1st. "Campaigning" will be conducted by having TA
interview all nominees in all categories for the benefit of
educating TA members about the strengths and weaknesses of all the
nominees.
Voting will commence October 1st and close October
29th. Winners will be announced on November 1st. For more info visit
www.TAvote.com.
Qwest Annual
Event Summary
The first agent event of the year is always the
annual QMarketplace event in Denver where Qwest shares with their
agent and partners a review of the past year and their vision for
the new year.
If you don't quote or sell Qwest you should take a
serious look at them. It's a must in the 14 states where they're the
RBOC and just a really good idea everywhere else. While they don't
position themselves as the low price leader, you can anticipate that
they'll do what's necessary to "get the deal" especially in
multi-location or mid-market business.
Click here to read the summary of the Qwest event and then
contact Qwest or a Qwest master agent to get an invitation to next
year's event.

few good MLE sales experts to interview for the content piece.
If you're interested in getting 15-minutes of fame and being
listed on TA's directory as a MLE "Expert" then please contact TA's Dan Baldwin

Can "Equipment Finance Leases" Prevent the Next
"Norvergence"?
Those of you paying attention six years ago may remember how
Norvergence conned customers into signing 5-year equipment leases, sold the
leases to banks and then went out of business. Eleven thousand small businesses
got royally "you know whated".
Click here to read how an attorney believes an "Equipment Finance Lease"
could have prevented the debacle. Be sure and read this before discussing any
contract with your customer that combines equipment & service. Be especially
carefull around the new HaaS or "equipment as a service" agreements.
