Telarus Releases GeoQuote II with Manual Quote Requests for Complex and
ICB Products
Telarus Expands its Proprietary Quoting System
GeoQuote I invokes GeoQuote II when absolute pricing can not be
determined. GeoQuote II then provides a way for the agent to
communicate directly with the carrier CMs (who offer service at the
prospect's location) to obtain pricing. |
DRAPER UT, July 7, 2009 -
Telarus, Inc., premier telecom master agent and patent hold of
real-time carrier quotes, today announced the release of GeoQuote II.
The new system gives independent agents of Telarus the ability to see if
a carrier offers commercial broadband and voice service for any given
location, even if the exact price can not be determined through
automation or communication with a carrier's pricing database via XML.
"GeoQuote II is a major breakthrough for our company" commented Adam
Edwards, president of Telarus. "Our agents have come to rely on the
accuracy and speed of GeoQuote I to maximize their sales conversion.
When GeoQuote I can't determine the exact price of a particular product
for a particular vendor, that carrier remains hidden from the agent's
view. GeoQuote II will show all carriers in the area who offer a
particular product, allowing our agents to bring more - in some cases
better - options to the table."
GeoQuote II operates in four modes:
- Confirmed availability, online MQR - GeoQuote has confirmed
the service availability for a particular carrier, and that carrier
can answer the manual quote request through the Telarus closed-loop
online tracking system under a predetermined SLA
- Confirmed availability, offline MQR - GeoQuote has
confirmed the service availability for a particular carrier, and that
carrier can answer the manual quote request via email.
- Unconfirmed availability, online MQR - GeoQuote knows the
carrier in question offers the particular service but the footprint is
uncertain, but the carrier can answer the manual quote request through
the Telarus closed-loop online tracking system under a predetermined
SLA.
- Unconfirmed availability, offline MQR - GeoQuote knows the
carrier in question offers the particular service but the footprint is
uncertain, and that carrier can answer the manual quote request via
email.
It is expected that all Telarus vendors will be able to answer manual
quote requests through the Facebook-style closed-loop online tracking
system by August 1, 2009. The use of the new tracking system will enable
all quote correspondences to be tracked, measured, and followed up on
for quality control.
"Ensuring that our agent's requests for special pricing doesn't get lost
in the black hole is our primary goal with GeoQuote II MRQ" added Lance
Akins, VP of Sales for Telarus, Inc. "Before we set out to develop this
new software we were not able to provide our agents all of the available
options for each opportunity. Now our agents benefit by seeing every
carrier, every time, no matter if we know the exact price points or not.
Add to that the ability to instantly engage any carrier on pricing
through a completely self-contained web communication portal and you
have a lot of happy agents who are able to get the best prices for their
customers every time."
According to Telarus, GeoQuote II also contains carrier ratings that it
has received from hundreds of agents over the past 4 month. Each quote
line in the new system displays a number between 0 and 10 that allows
agents to balance price-versus-quality when helping their customers make
a carrier decision.
"It's our goal to achieve total carrier transparency for our agents"
stated Andrew Morgan, VP of Web Development for Telarus, Inc. "We want
our agents to see every price for every carrier for every single
opportunity they bring to us. That way our carriers can compete for the
business on a level playing field and the agents can have confidence
that they have done right by the prospect, improving their credibility
and laying the foundation for a profitable long-term customer
relationship."
GeoQuote I and II will continue to be a valuable component to the
award-winning Telarus agent back office which consists of proposal
creation, customer relationship management software, task management,
and even an intra-agent interactive bulletin board. Telarus received a
patent for GeoQuote earlier this year.
